Y’all are some great people

keep in mind last year, when I published a link to a group in California that desired scraps to make quilts for Quilts for Valor as well as other groups?

I wished to share this thank-you note I got from Jane Ellen, who handles their donations:

Over the year I’ve got at least 6 big boxes of marvelous fabrics–silks, Japanese cottons as well as more. many have shown up anonymously, however a couple had return addresses as well as I hope they got their say thanks to you notes. The pieces of like quilting group at Northpoint Church in Corona, CA made as well as distributed at least 120 quilts in 2009–not poor for our very first year with 12 members! Twenty were handpicked for women as well as kids at an emergency homeless shelter as well as extras were left for others to get as needed. For seven years our church has partnered with a Head begin Program in a disadvantaged area near us. every year we provide a Christmas in Corona celebration for the kids as well as their families. This year we had over 400 people on our Christmas lists. originally we just offered toys for the preschool children, however we have broadened to offer an product of garments as well as a toy for every kid in a Head begin household as well as gift cards for the parents. We likewise offer a little (50×63″ min.) quilt for every kid under age 3. The last count I heard was 52 quilts this year. other quilts were personally provided to members needing a concrete pointer of God’s like in our church family. One quilt was sent to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where our church partners with a institution as well as ministry. a number of were sent on to Quilts of Valor for injured warriors. between now as well as March we’ll put together a blue as well as white quilt for a lady who’s speaking at our women’s retreat then. This year’s retreat is entitled “Sacred Scraps” as well as will have numerous of our quilts.

So say thanks to you, from Jane Ellen, as well as say thanks to you from me, too!
